Recommendations for free/shareware FTP tools

Would like people's suggestions for free/shareware FTP tools

Howdy,

There are so many FTP tools out there... and all I want is something simple, preferably freeware/shareware, with a Windows-like interface. Does anyone here like CuteFTP (though it's not free, it's not expensive).

Thanks to all.

Lydia,

I swear by WS_FTP LE - does absolutely everything I want it to do, and it's free!

a search on download.com should throw it up ;)

I've used WS_FTP for a few years now and have never had any issues with it. Easy to install, easy to use.

Additional thanks to Panky and mack.

What do you guys think about CuteFTP? (I know it's not free, but is it worth the money?)

Thanks,

Lydia

I found CuteFTP the easiest to use. File type masks for ascii and binary are already configured correctly for you. The only downside to CuteFTP I see is that it is somewhat slow when it comes to transfering multiple files.

Funny, since I've installed WebDrive, I don't use FTP programs for my own web site.

I find I switch back and forth, depending on where I am in my workflow, between WS_FTP Pro and Total Commander.

Total Commander is a Windows file manager that does practically everything, and an excellent FTP client is built right into it.

If youre looking for an ftp program that looks and feels like windows just use your browser ;-)

Drag and drop from your local files to your site.
