The response back from sitefinder basically says if I'da tried my host servers domain two weeks ago, I would have gotten a 404 error code then.
The respondant goes on to tell me the whois database shows my host provider as being on Registrar-Hold.
SamSpade shows:
10/02/03 12:59:29 dns XX.XX.XXX.XX
nslookup XX.XX.XXX.XX
Canonical name: sitefinder-idn.verisign.com
Addresses:
XX.XX.XXX.XX
While I am very curious how I've been able to maintain my site and have all e-mail accounts functional during this 404 period and not today - my biggest concern is:
What happens now?
I've got a million things running thru my mind and none 'em are kicking my pleasure synaps into gear.
Pendanticist.
Actually, there's no connection between the operation of your site and the domain registration of your hoster. Your site won't go down just because their name doesn't resolve anymore.
Yes, at least their servers are still serving. That they are not answering support calls is not a good sign. Look for a backup host in case you never hear from them again (you probably already are, but I mention it just in case).
