i found a link in an external link to one of my sites www.weirdurl.com -- and when i go to the url - it forwards back to my site...
ummmmm, huh? anyone know what to do about this?

Look up the WhoIs information and see who owns it, then contact them?
I've done some like this too (to help out other sites with keyword - type in domains) but I've always verified it was OK with the webmaster first.
Although, for all you know it could be a friend joking with you. ;)

he: uhhh, yeah.
me: it's forwarding to MY site
he: uhhhhh
me: change it before i call your host.
he: uk okay.
me: click.

maybe it's a compliment
does the domain have anything to do with what you do? Might send some traffic.

I'm doing that with one of my undeveloped domains. It gets a bit of type-in traffic that I can't use so I'm just forwarding the visitors to a highly relevant site in the same region.
It never occurred to me that anyone would take offense to a bit of free traffic.

nahhhh it can't be a compliment...my site is in a specific niche and the forwarding url is some-scammy-hosting-name.com
