Why has my .mp3 files been changed to .mpga?

When I download them?

Apoliges if this is the wrong folder to post this in.

I have just uploaded some .mp3 files to some space I own on a server. I have placed a link on a webpage to that links basically to the .mp3 file. However when I download the file it has changed to mp3.mpga. Why? How do I stop it from changing the file extension? I have never had any problem like this before?

Can anyone suggest any ideas? Many Thanks!

I have solved the problem. It was that evil program known as Real Player messing with my browser. I have now disposed of the application.
