Steps for switching hosts

Hi,
I need to move 1 SQL server and 1 Web server to a new host. Can someone who has done this before outline the steps required. Thanks.

Copy files to new host.
Change DNS records while leaving files on old host.
Wait a couple days (I think a week will give you ultimate safety).
Throughout all of that, make sure everything is working properly :)

Do the SQL server first, and test it well from anoher website or from enterprise manager before changing the live data source.

*Important* Make sure all the constraints/ relationships are properly copied across to the new server.

From what I remember (SQL 7) the setup script has to drop all the constraints for some reason and can be a little buggy.

what to do for Google? I suppose they will also take time to goto the new I.P....shall we place a re-direct on the old I.P.?
