Hi everybody,
I have one site with my own domain www.mydomain.com and I recently also uploaded the same site to a free web hosting server www.servername.com/mysite..., where I already had a simple html page for several years. This *old* page was indexed by SEs and was showing well for the intended keywords.
Does anyone know if this could harm me as far as SEs are concerned?...i.e. having the same site (pages) on another server?. Is this what is called *duplicate content* or it is different?. The sites do NOT link to each other at all.

I did submit the site (on the free server) to search engines about 2 weeks ago but it still lists with the contents and keywords of the old page!. I think it has not be refreshed by SEs yet!

Thank you.

Having 2 exact copies of the site would qualify as *duplicate content*.

jatar_k...thank you for your reply.

I thought that *duplicate content* is having duplicate pages in the same web site (same domain)!

So, I have to make major changes in my 2nd site.

Thank you again.
