Hi, I am running a site on personal financial matters. Everyday when I look at my Google Analytic stats, i see about only about 5% returning visitors.

How can i turn my visitors into returning visitors? Another way to ask this is, what can I do that will make the visitors want to come back again to my website?

Remember, my website is about personal finance. Just voice out any ideas you have that you think will keep my visitors.

What can i do to keep you coming back?

I'll say the obvious - New Content. If your content is static, is there really a reason to return once the research is done. Maybe have some weekly news like changes in IRS policies and how it affects personal finance, the exchange rate, etc. Maybe offer a newsletter (opt in of course) so you can keep your visitors informed as to the changes, but only give them teasers so they have to visit the site. Than again, I ask, is there a reason you need them to return, e.g. affects profits some how.

New content as mentioned, a weekly article? Just like the old shows, "tune in next week same bat channel..."

A forum IMO is the absolute best way to get return traffic , your problem is there's going to already be many established communities.

I use a newsletter and rss feeds as teasers for my site. Give them just enough to get interested and a link to the site for the rest.
