Does anyone know how to make Outlook automatically resend an email? Too many are getting lost these days...

Why would you want Outlook to do that? That's the job of the mail server.

If mail isn't making it to your recipients then you should look into things like white-lists, SPF records and the like.

Lost email normally means one of three things:
a) Spam filters grabbing them (in this case it will grab the duplicate as well)
b) Dishonest recipients who did see your email but claim not to have done so
c) Poor quality mail server (yours)

Vince(*3) said just what I was intending to post. One thing to add, what sort of messages are getting lost?

If you are talking about individual messages then consider telephone or snail mail as alternatives.

Newsletters can be made available on-line.

If the problem is with order confirmations or fault reports then consider making on-line tracking available.

I don't know much about that stuff... just using Outlook over an exchange server. Our hosted exchange provider seems to be getting worse since they lost their main tech guy... we are seeing alot of individual email replies not getting to the destination. I think spam filters are to blame sometime and retarded users but it seems that alot of emails just don't make it there.

I will talk to my new dedicated server admin to see about changing our email system. Thinking about switching to Google apps (through Outlook) instead of hosted exchange.

Exactly how are you determining this?

Feedback from clients. They are waiting for an email that doesn't arrive... two weeks after the fact we hear from them, asking us when we are going to send it. They usually do receive the second forward.

we also hear about the lost emails from follow-up calls, of course.

Emailed invoices (and quotation replies), generally all with PDF attachments.

Attachments are a red flag for some security set-ups. You might try including all the information in the body of the message and sending it attachment-free.
