Troubleshooting Load Times

Lo all,

I'm trying to figure out what might be causing my website to hang for several seconds before it starts loading a page? I'm running Wordpress, and if I click on links within the site, the load time is usually pretty fast, but after a few quick clicks, my site suddenly hangs for about 20-30 seconds, and then suddenly loads normally again. I thought it might have been a bloated plugin bogging down my index page, but it seems to happen on my vanilla pages as well. I'm wondering if it's a server limitation my hosting service created to prevent my site from taxing too much CPU usage, and that's why it hangs at times?

If not, what's the best software I can download that can analyze all the individual connections my site makes when it loads, and help me find which connection is causing the most lag? That might help me find the culprit.

ON IE, I use IEWatch to see what script(s) are taking a long time to load.

If you would like, you can send me a PM with the URL and I can try to see which one it is
