IE do not see my admin

Hello
What is IE doing
(6.0 with the whole bunch of most recent patches
on XP Pro)

since the last patches are installed I can see every URLs
links etc... fine
but if I try to enter my site admin
the login goes fine but brings me back to the same login page and do not any longer trigger the display of admin page

it does not create an error
but if I type a wrong PW then it sees the error
so conn with DB are fine
more and more I have no problem doing the requested tasks in NN
and can reach w/out problems my admin section

what can I do?

It depends on how the admin page let you login, but the most common cause is your IE is blocking cookies.

You can view and change the setting at:
Tool -> Internet Options... -> Privacy

You running default security & privacy settings in IE? Are you using Norton Internet Security? Semi-related, but I have to disable NIS to login to my stats (SurfStats Live).

it went a bit further
so if anyone has the same problem

go in custom edit
then retype the URL and re-allow

you made me think deeper :) and that last fix did it
