I own a site which is doing pretty well with Google. But I am facing a problem with some keywords.

My site's pages show up in the top 5 results for a keyword like say "somekeyword" . But when user searches for say "somekeyword.com" my site doesn't even show up in the top 10 results. To be precise it is in the 18 and 19th position.

I know the site which owns that exact domain is top ranked, but compared to other sites which occupy the top 10 results I feel my site should be ranked higher, and not to forget that I am well ranked for simply "somekeyword".

Is there something/anything that i am missing?
Someone plz guide me through this?

Thanks

I'm more familiar with MSN than with Google, but in MSN the most likely solution would be to run an article about the site that specifically sits at somekeyword.com, being sure to include their site address a couple/few times. -- I'm not claiming that this would be an overall useful thing to do(!), but it would help you move up in rank for that keyword as the search engine will pick up that specific term. Because MSN tends to be more specific (literal?) in this kind of thing, I have no idea how it would play with Google.
