Are schools violating student rights?

The school announced a policy that flatly refuses to enroll students with MySpace or similar websites. Students were told on March 20 to delete their MySpace accounts, if they want to continue to be students at St. Hugo's.

This means students who even use computers at home will not be able to have myspace profiles even if their parents agree or monitor their children.

There is also mention of similar sites.

It's a parochial school. They can make the students pray, read the Bible, wear uniforms etc.

Enforcing that ban should prove fruitless though.
