Any Good Alternatives to Outlook or Eudora?

Actually, I'm using Outlook Express right now and I have Eudora, but don't really like it.

I need a dependable program with filtering capability and one that makes it easy to save copies of email for future reference.

I used to use Outlook Express but changed to Eudora, at first I hated Eudora, it took me a while to get used to the layout and the options open to me.

I feel Eudora is more powerfull and rate it higher then outlook express!.

Other email programs on the market I am not sure about, but If I was you give Eudora a month try use all the options open to you including the filtering which is better the Outlook.

I use the Bat. It has some powerful features and am generally satisfied with the software. :)

I've really enjoyed working with Opera's mail client, M2. It's set up a bit differently than other software, but it's definitely worth a look (especially since it's part of one of the best browsers around).

Just out of curiosity, why don't you like Eudora? I've discovered most people who start to use Eudora and are initially thrown by the change from Outlook do not realize how completely customizable it is.

mozilla.org has their stand alone email client "Thunderbird"

Thanks for the input.

I discovered "The Bat!" shortly after I posted the thread and downloaded the older version (not able to sucessfully download the new one) and I LOVE IT!

The filtering capabilities are just what I need and there's so much flexibility.

Anyone looking for a good aternative to Outlook or Eudora might want to also check into Foxmail. It doesn't have a calendar, but it's pretty powerful otherwise. Best of all it is free!

Another great alternative is ExpressPlus. Again, no scheduling capabilities, but there are plenty of great freeware PIMs. It will set you back $35
