building a browser toolbar

is there a way to easily build a browser toolbar?

I'd like to build a browser toolbar for my site, so visitors can download and install the toolbar in their browser and search my site via the browser.

Anyone know if there is any cookie cutter software aps out there to do it for you?

I'm not sure if there are any "cookie cutters" out there for something like this, however Mozilla has a nice little developers zone for those interested in building their own extensions: Building an Extension [developer.mozilla.org].
