301 redirect problem

I'm trying to change a name of one of my pages for my site. I changed the name and set up a redirect but when I search google for my site and click the link that is in Google for the page that I change it doesn't redirect the site.

I think the major issue that I'm having is the old page was named with a space in the middle of the page name. For example:

the page name is:

prod 20225.htm

when you search google and view the page that it has indexed it looks like this:

prod%2020225.htm

I want to change this page name to the keywords it should be but I can't get the redirect from that old page name to the new one.

Any ideas?

What kind of server are you on, and what did you do to make the re-direct in question?
