When my computer starts a program named installer loads and then Microsoft Outlook loads and messages start appearing about contacts.
The installer program seems to be bndt.exe located in windows/system folder. There is also another program named No call list.exe in the same folder.

I have deleted the entries for bndt.exe in the registry and deleted both the .exe files but when I restart the programs come back.

Norton does not find any viruses, but I found a virus web site which mentioned the above .exe files but it was in Korean so wasn't much use.

Can anyone help. Thanks in advance

Sounds like you have spyware or adware running on your computer.

Try Ad-Aware or Spybot Search & Destroy to remove it - one of the two should find it.

Hmmmm..

Bndt.exe = bandit?

Check out Symantec for:

W32.HLLW.Lacon@mm

I would check the date on your virus defs - LiveUpdate sometimes fails - you can use intelligent updater to install the latest if LiveUpdate fails - you'll still need to have a subscription.

Yeah thats the one. I removed it with Kaspersky a day before Symantec discovered it.

Thanks
