Hello all, I'm sure this topic shouldnt be here but I really need advice. I want to hire a saleman (no I'm not taking resumes, this is not a job offer call) and I would like to know how much to pay. Or what is the standard commition rate? Could someone please point me in the right direction or give me some advice.

its a world wide forum, renumeration varies acording to where in the world you are and also the local cost of living.

Look at your local competitors .. how much are they paying .. to tempt someone good and keep them you will have to equal or better them in money and non money issues ..

.. this will be no different from any other field of employment.

I have a good sales pers (website and ad)
He has Milage, 20% on sales and a fix salary with some benef
in the range of 20K plus tax

sales pers are the most dificult type of employee to find

salary benefit and whatever are peanuts compared to results

so the salary has to be in direct relation of weighted expectation based on trial budget etc....

If you want to retain a sales person then you need to make it well worth their while. Sales people are for ever being "poached" by your competition, you need to offer the good sales people an incentive to stay.
