Our main site has a .co.uk address but we also have the equivalent .com address.
All our content is on the .co.uk site but we have web forwarding from the .com address to the .co.uk address which we set up in case people typed in the wrong extension.
The problem is that both addresses have been indexed. There is no content on the .com site simply web forwading. I don't know how it has been indexed as there are no physical pages to index.
I have spoken to our registrar but they say 'Unfortunately, we are unable to control what sites search engines index. We apologize for this inconvenience.'
I'm sure this will be causing duplicate content issues.
Any ideas how we can stop this happening or do you think we should simply stop the web forwarding?
We therefore have no access to the account to set up any redirects or noindex tags.
