Should I worry about www.example.com:80 links? What are they?

Outlook Express (maybe others) append :80 after domain names in email links. At first I was thinking maybe this was just a local thing, but when reviewing server logs, I'm starting to get www.example.com:80 requests.
What are they? Should I do anything (mod rewrite) about them? Are they going to cause issues? And do other email programs do this and/or use other :numbers?
Thanks

Port 80 is the default port for a webserver. I wouldn't worry about it, but I haven't seen or heard of :80 being added to domains in any email client.
