Hello,

I´m working on (url removed) and i´m using url´s with a "ñ" character. I know this is not very standart but i´ve seen other sites using ñ in their url´s and Google recognizing it.
For example, check this out:
[google.com....]

If you enter the URL, it transforms the "ñ" character into "%C3%B1" which must be the utf-8 equivalent.
Well, my site has a
www.example.com.ar/_examplified_ñ_examplified_/_examplified_ñ_examplified_.php
path, that actually transforms to:
www.example.com.ar/_examplified_%C3%B1_examplified_/_examplified_%C3%B1_examplified_.php
which should be correct.

The problem is that Google isn´t indexing this page and on Google Webmaster Tools, i´ve got a 404 reported for it.

Do you know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Regards,
Albion

I could access the page from the seach results on both FireFox and IE just fine.

But the page encoding is wrong: instead of Ñandu, the browsers show "ñandu Images and Stock Photos".

Yeah, i know about the encoding on those pages, but that can be easily solved, or in any case, i wouldn´t care. My doubt is how those guys managed to get a url with an ñ inside Google´s index, and my pages are being 404´d.
My post was "exemplified", but i assure you that both ñ and %C3%B1 urls don´t generate a 404 when i navigate them with IE and FF. So why is google showing that error?

Any clues?
