Zoneedit DNS failure?

3 zoneedit servers down?

Hi

We've experienced a total DNS outage today, even with 3 geographically seperated DNS servers though zoneedit.com

ERROR: Some of your nameservers listed at the parent nameservers did not respond. The ones that did not respond are:

ns6.zoneedit.co.uk. [217.160.131.209 (NO GLUE)] [DE]
ns17.zoneedit.com. [209.126.159.118 (NO GLUE)] [US]
ns2.zoneedit.com. [69.72.158.226 (NO GLUE)] [US]

anyone else suffered this? We've now taken the steps to use easydns.com as a secondary DNS provider, so have 5 DNS servers, all in different geographical locations, 3 with zoneedit and 3 with easydns.com

Just a shame about propogation time! all 3 servers down for 8 hours so far!

Well, so much for their claim to have never had a 3-server outage.

I got a reply (after 11 hours) from Zoneedit saying they are working on the situation and it should be fixed within 3-5 hours. that was 9 hours ago!

Since then 1 server is back up. We'e now setup secondary DNS with easydns.com so we've got 3 with Zoneedit and 2 with EasyDNS, that way it SHOULD never go down!
