What are they for you as the webmaster/site-owner

Hello,

This may sound completely stupid to some of you, but please be kind as I am a totally new webmaster/owner.
I am sure there are some things that we need to do on a recurring basis. The obvious one is to provide content, but are there any others? Of course, keeping yourself up-to-date with security patches and webmaster relevant news is another obvious one.

I also run a forum. So is there something I should be doing there as well?

Backups. Often.

Daily: Check uptime; check loading; check for nefarious rebot attacks; download log file (it's big); check emails; review Google spidering via Google's webmaster tools; ask myself, "why am I doing this?"

Weekly: Backup of local data (the remote site is created from a local copy, so no need to backup the remote site in my case)
