Can you recommend offsite newsletter management?

Been thinking about how to manage a newsletter for a customer. Found a thread on WW where a mod suggested outsourcing it. But no rec's on who to use. Are there some well known ones? Feel free to sticky me one if it's not big enough to be listed publicly.

Also, an idea of what this would cost/if there are free options etc...

Gosh I thought there'd be a bunch of responses to this. Did I perhaps word the question badly?

I think I'm going to use mailman, but it seems like overkill for this job. Anyone here using mailman? Is there a simple way to have a little form saying:

Enter email address here to subscribe to our mailing list.

With a text box and submit button.
