Best Affiliates for Flights + Hotels

I'm thinking of dipping my feet in to a travel site and would appreciate some experienced advice...

Certainly would like my users to be able to book a flight from and to anywhere on the planet.

With hotel and accomodation options depending on the destinations.

Who are the best companies to affiliate with and what is the best way of setting up an affiliate program with them?

And if you have experienced any pitfalls to avoid that would nice of you to share :-)

I have done well with IAN, the affiliate program of hotels.com. Having said that, air travel pays very little with pretty much any program, hotels is where the money is in travel if you can get the traffic and drive them to book....

I do realise there is not great margins for flights but I think the site needs that service to bring in punters...
