Video Presentation

I saw a website that had a great feature, which was a video presentation guiding the viewer on how to use his forum - he had uploaded the video to google and then integrated it into the site.

I'm trying to figure out how he made the video - you basically saw the computer screen as he saw it and he was moving the cursor arrow around to point things out etc.

Anyone have any idea how to do this, what software is required?

The uploading to google and adding to it your site bit looks easy, but I don't know how to go about making this type of video.

I don't want to push one particular application, so I suggest you do an internet search for "screen recorder" or "desktop recorder" both of which will reveal hundreds of applications that will do this for you.

A few of them are open-source/shareware I'm sure.
