Forum Moderators: phranque
I run a humor website, and It's been run as a blog up to now, but I want to expand it into more of a humor portal. One thing that I've taken for granted all along is that embedded videos -- like the ones from youtube -- can be posted anyhwere. Wrong! They don't work on any CMS I've tried. They've always worked on my blog, but I could give you a list of CMS programs that can't support simple embedded videos like those from youtube, google videos, dailymotion, etc.
Anybody know a CMS that can do this? It has to be affordable... not necessarily free.
Thanks.
At worst, I think this probably requires nothing more than a plug-in for whatever CMS you choose - one that is almost certainly already written.
That's the beauty of CMSs - they are extensible. So, I wouldn't look for a different CMS - pick the one that works the best for you overall, then find a plug-in or module for what is lacking or write your own.
Joomla is not that hard to learn either. The only achille's heel is there documentation, which is oriented towards programmers; but it's not that bad.
