How many users use the Explorer Bar?

I'm working on a new design and planning on optimizing for a 1024 x 768 screen resolution.

Most of the visitors to my site do use Internet Eplorer but I haven't a clue how many use the explorer bar on the left side of the screen.

Any guesses out there?

You may be designing a bit too large. Most advice I've seen here recently suggests that for a fixed width site you're safest sticking to a width of about 720-760px (or thereabouts). A quick site search on page width [google.com] shows several such threads.
