Hi all,

I am looking for software that will allow me to download an entire website for viewing at a later date (offline), doe's this sort of software exist or are there legal issues behind this that I should know of?

Many thanks for all help,

KR,

There shouldn't be any legal issues with what you want to do.

There are many programs available to "strip" a website, but you can do what you want with MSIE.

Go to "Add to Favorites", make sure the "Make available Offline" is checked, then hit OK.

Hi msr986,

Thanks! But with the IE options will that not just save each and every page visited, what I mean is I would have to trawl through the entire website first would I not?

Again thanks for answering,

After you check the "Make available Offline" box click on the "Customize" button. You can then set how deep the browser will go when saving the site.

You can save an entire website this way.

msr986,

Nice one! Many thanks for that, never knew that was there, lesson for not getting to know the package to its full potential...
