Youtube's future?

Is it worth investing time in the site?

I have been building youtube videos into my site, and wonder at the long term viability of Youtube. It spends, so I gather, over $1mill per week.

Do people think it will be around in the future, or go belly up? Is it a gamble worth spending time and energy on?

Just coincidently rumours have started that Fox are going to buy YouTube.....

Now that would be my bad luck. Gone are all the anti Bush videos.

I see YouTube videos on local TV news on an almost daily basis. And plenty of exposure on the late night talk shows, etc. If there's anybody who doesn't know about YouTube, you have to wonder what rock they've been hiding under. ;)
