Is it really banned in China?

Could you tell me if website hosted by Yaho webhosting are really banned in China?

I have read that since most websites hosted by Yahoo Webhosting Starter are blogs and geocities website, it is banned in China... But reference were a bit outdated (2003)

I'm in Hong Kong at the moment, and I just tried a few Yahoo! geocities pages, they worked fine for me. However, I was in a city in China for the last few days, and a popular blog search engine which works here in HK, did not work in mainland China, due to the firewall, I think.
