Does anyone know any webhosting that is good, reliable, with great customer support?

I need *nix, apache, perl, mod_rewrite and over 50gb of bandwidth/month.

Better be cheap :)

Check the bottom of the page for one idea. Watch out for "unlimited" bandwidth offers, as you will probably find performance issues or a "hidden" limit (i.e., "Your bandwidth is unlimited, but you are using too much.")

why not get a dedicated server..? you can easily get upto 1000 gb bandwidth :) ... I know I have 1000 GB bandwidth limit.. (we don't yet use even 1/10 of it)

rogerd: ya, i know, it is funny :) most of the time they write it in TOS, "unlimited" means 10 gb month, or "we still reserve the right to limit you" or something similar.

NeedScripts: that is why I don't want to get a dedicated. I don't think I'll use 50Gb either. I think I'd be fine with 20GB or less, but just for security.

It all depends how often bots will show up at my site :)

read this thread: [webmasterworld.com...]

well dedicated server has many more benefits.. especially full control over the server :) and ability to do what ever you want (legal).. but I guess... it would be useless to drag this thread about the choice of dedicated server.

Well if you are looking for a good shared hosting.. then you might also wanna check out cihost.com they don't offer cpanel, but they are suppose to be good :)

NeedScripts: I agree with you. I'd love to have dedicated. And I know all the benefits of it. I just can't afford one at the moment. I am college student and I am not working full time. And I don't earn any money from Internet (yet) :)

As soon as I will have a chance of getting dedicated, I am definetely going that way.

I just checked out cihost. That is not cheap at all. I can buy 3 dedicated servers with 500gb of transfer each for the cost of one virtual account with 50gb of transfer.

I can find a better deal that that :)))

How cheap is "cheap?" I pay $40 a month for 50GB transfer, 100 megs diskspace, MySQL, Perl/CGI, PHP, Apache, mod_rewrite, on Linux (shared hosting).
