Today my site hosted in hostgator went down.
Checked with a host-tracker and seems to be reachable from all over the world,
asked other folk in my country to check and he see it ok.

My site hosted there and the hostgator site itself are down to me but other people
can access it.

Same thing happen with a client site (not hosted there) I visited that site yesterday ok,
but can't access it today. I can access certain websites like google and others.

What is going wrong? Is it a dns problem? Must I repair tcp ip?

I checked my hosted site and ftp doesn't work. That far I thought was a normal "down"
from my hosting but others can see my site...

There might be a router down between you and your server. Do a tracert and see where it stops.

I've seen it lots of times- I can get to the site no problem, but others can't (or vice versa). It's really annoying because my wife decides it's *MY* fault and I get beat up until it's fixed.

Ok, I did a tracert to my "down" site and I get only 2 ips and steps 3, 4 and beyond are timed out.
Now what? What do I do and what is the problem?

IP: 10.1.64.1
192.168.2.10
al the rest timed out...

I did one to webmasterworld and works ok... 17 traces ok.

Is there anything wrong in my pc?
Is there anything wrong with my hosting? or my isp?

Normally I would suggest that you try contacting the company that owns the router at the last IP reachable. But 192.168.x.y is a private address... Are you sure about that address?

You can try contacting your ISP.

Yes I'm sure. Talked to my isp and they know about the problem, will be solved. So if somebody it's in the same situation the answer is contact your ISP.
Thank you!
