Image Hosting Website

is it worth it or not?

I've been interested in creating an image hosting website. I know that there are alot of expensises when it comes to hosting and bandwidth but I think if you get your ads out right you'll make money of it. How do websites like photobucket dot com or imageshack dot us do it? They have to make good money to provide their services.

Is this a good business to get into or not? what do you think?

I guess I'd be very concerned with the TOS as it relates to copyright. I've had some discussions along those lines with my lawyer because of user submitted photos.

Probably best to get a good IP lawyer to make sure you're as safe as can be on the copyright score. I'm not sure I'd rely on a canned TOS fo that.

Otherwise, hey folks love to share photos and they need to put them online somewhere.

Just remember that some businesses may not be profitable for quite a while, as in years.
