Anybody still unconvinced about the scale of the spam epidemic should consider this fact: MessageLabs intercepted more spam in the last month than in the whole of 2002.

MessageLabs' anti-spam service scanned more than 156.6 million e-mails during July. Of those 79.7 million were identified as spam and intercepted.

True, it would be so much better if there would be less of spam mail. They suck! Let's discuss ways to cut off such spams, not from the server or client side, but from the ISP's or even higher level point.

Yep - spam to my personal account has gone through the roof this last month.

Popfile (search for it - it's an excellent Bayesian filtering proxy that runs on your local machine) is taking care of most of it though, so I can filter suspected spam into separate folders.

I don't like checking emails on one of my account where I haven't yet installed spam busters. Its really irritating deleting 100s of mails daily.
