I think there are other considerations though. What type of other sites are running on that server? Do you need to be concerned about that IP (odds are you are sharing an IP) being blacklisted somehow because of what others are doing on that server? Are you running any type of server-side technologies that if/when your host updates is going to upset your operation?
I think these other factors demand more thought than anything else. Just something else to consider.
It all depends on the server you are on, and how many sites you are sharing it with, the resources available to your site, etc., etc. If the performance is there, then no need to move.

Yeh, I understand this point, but not sure whether this "bad neighborhood" therory has any foundations whatsoever... I mean these days Google must understand that with a sharing hosting there may be many absolutely independent websites on the same IP, doesn't it?
