Have we thought of everything?

We should be going live in the newt week or so. Our site's a php/MySQL ecommerce application. It's been a long effort, as it's taken about a year and a half to write, in the evenings and weekends as I can't afford to give up the day job. This is also our first site.

While it's exciting, I'm also a bit anxious, what if it all falls appart as people come in, what if people can easily hack into it etc... This as well as unexpected things, for example a friend testing it found AOL didn't like our mails.

This is why I'd quite like to hear experiences by those of you who've been down this road before, to see if there are things I should check, have forgotten etc...

Thanks
Eric

Just go for it. You'll find out soon enough what you missed and you'll have to learn quickly to fix it.

As you will learn, most good sites are an in progress work. No one ever 'gets it right' the first time around. You will have problems.
