Today is the official internet shopping day in the UK has anyone had an increase in purchases?

Out of interest...was this advertised/promoted in the UK (tv/radio etc?).

It seems a strange concept! - are people meant to rush to their PCs and buy something for the sheer joy of it? I hope they do :)

Had an email yesterday from WorldPay about it, havent heard anything else though, not on TV, Radio or the BBC News site, where I'd expect to see something about it.

There was something on news this morning not sure what channel it was about online shopping and they were talking to a bloke from Tesco Online and some other people. Im not sure if they were talking about online shopping because of its "Online Shopping Day".
