What is it with Thursdays?

I was just reading the Summer thread about trends now holidays are upon a lot of visitors to sites.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same sort of visits graph as we do - rising from Monday, peaking on Thursday and falling back til it's Monday again? Anything we should know about Thursdays?

Cheers

I'd say it's likely that perhaps people from Thursdays until Mondays are more engaged in either goofing off or planning for holidays or something. I know I'm a lot busier doing certain things earlier in the week, and as the week wears away, I'm less likely to engage in those activities. It probably depends on what your site's about. *shrug*
I don't have any real numbers, though. My site gets most of its hits around 5 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, but we get more traffic from bots than anyone else. Wonder if there's a pattern there?

Are we talking about overall traffic? I find Mondays are always highest in visitors then it tapers off down the line until the Saturday lows. I'm assuming the Monday traffic has something to do with boredom at work.

In my certain B2B market, traffic appears to peak on Mondays, then drops 10% per day through friday, which has typically half the traffic of a given Monday... and the weekends are a total wash. Maybe 10% of the traffic of a Friday.

Manic Mondays and why'd-I-bother-to-stay-by-the-phone Fridays. :)

Hm. Kind of like the traffic on the inbound George Washington Bridge in the morning. I wonder if there's a correlation?
