Here's a Brain Fry: Australians can't download

From a specific site- What are likely culprits?

Essentially, the Aussies can download files from other points in the U.S. but are having errors downloading files from this one company (I believe this is currently limited to one company).

I searched for weird traffic problems but I couldn't find anything about this-

Um, would be a lot easier to venture a good guess if you could specify "having errors" in a bit more detail... ;)

Ah, yes. The 30 mb file poops out two thirds of the way down. It just stops.

Is it typical for a server timeout to happen exclusively on a long distance connection (from US to Australia), but no server timeout when serving files to points within the US?

If so, how does one correct for this?

It is typical for a timeout to occur after the same amount of time the connection has been open... ;)

This is just a guess, but assuming that a connection to australia is slower than one within the US, there's quite a chance that it just takes too long. You can configure the exact value for that in the server.

Another thing is that I'd place files like this on an FTP server, for this and a few other reasons.
