Want to check for broken links on local files, i.e. without uploading them on www.

I want to check them on my local machine, is this possible?

Most WYSIWYG HTML editors will let you do that. Xenu is a freeware made to check links.

Now you won't belive this but my entire site is hand coded :) So looking for a free utility or a tool which enables me to check for broken links on my local machine before I upload it.

I have this software - Xenu, but does not work well... Any one else?
