Hi. I'm new to web marketing and have been asked to locate promotion software that will submit client's advertisements to a database of message boards/newsgroups/etc. that relates to the client's field. Can someone point me in the right position or offer any advice?

Thanks!

You want us to help you find software to spam message boards?

I hope you're joking.

>>offer any advice

Sure, if you want to tarnish your client's field and product as fast as possible, then spam all the message boards you can find with your client's "message". It's sure to be appreciated. Not only will you sink your client's bouyant outlook on making a fast buck, you'll ensure that future marketing attempts will be sullied by your client's zeal to spam forums and newsgroups.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld. This is the place on the web to to learn about web marketing and absolutely the last place on earth to learn about spamming forums unless of course you want to learn just how much forum spam is appreciated.

The local school and a bar of chocolate and you've got yourself a fully working spamming machine :)

Hello and thanks for replying! First of all, I hate spam just as much as anyone else. I am not trying to find something that will spam messageboards. I am looking for software that will cut down the time it will take to post messages on boards that are tailored to the field and allow for automated postings.

For example:
There are many messageboards that have specific forums for bands/music producers to post links to their music in order to promote themselves. It is very time consuming to go to message board after message board using cut'n paste and would be nice to have something to automate the process.

Is this considered spamming?

Dunno, going to some related message boards now to see how it works. If you can stickymail me some examples of those messageboards I'd appreciate it. Just click "stickymail" next to my nickname and then send me some links.

It is also very time consuming for benevolent message board moderators and administrators to remove spam left by persons using cut'n paste.

As digitalghost mentionned, you will hurt your client by spamming message boards more than anything else.

Not if you follow the rules. There is not much point in doing it though. The only ones who read those are mods/admins of the forum and other promoters. I would not waste my time. You will see almost no traffic from these forums.
