If anyone speaks Russian, I'd appreciate some assistance. There are an inordinate amount of hits on my site from what appears to be a Russian discussion forum.

I'm very curious as to what it is all about. I don't get a lot of Russian customers ... (in fact none) so this seems to be rather strange.

Nyet.

Check to see if someone hasn't hotlinked one of your images in their profile.

Thanks.

Thanks Martinibuster ... I tried that, but there is no provision for translating Russian to English.

Any other suggestions?

You really don't need to know Russian. The most likely cause for those hits is hotlinking from the message board. It happens quite often, just go there and check if they show some of your pictures.

Thanks alternative future. I tried that one too. Unfortunately, there is a pull down menu on the page which I cannot translate or even guess at and can't get past because I don't know what to select. If you try to translate a page from Russian to English ... there is no option for that.

When I tried to translate a block of text ... I only got a garbled, two word answer which makes no sense.

That's why I was hoping someone actually can read Russian?

If you had asked this question yesterday I might have been able to give you the perfect answer, as we had a Russian translator from Russia in the office finishing off the translation of one of our software packages :( hence the reason I knew about that link I provided we used that as a short term resource for carrying out initial testing and debugging.

Sorry I cant help any further...

just go there and check if they show some of your pictures.

I would do that ifI could get there! As I said, There is a pull down menu which takes you to a dozen different pages ... all of which have links which are written in Russian. I have been playing with it for hours and can find no joy.

Are you able to check your raw access logs? If so you should be able to see the "exact" page url that is using those hits. So no need to translate :-)

You may be able to see the exact url through your stats checker ( if you have one ) depends how complex it is.

Hmm... Is there a way to extract the JS dropdown from the code? Then cut and paste that into a translator?

How frustrating! Good luck!
