This is my first post after about amonth of reading nearly every day. Have to say it has been absolutely invaluable! I think I've changed my site nearly every day with each new bit I've learned :)

One thing I haven't quite figured out is how everybody seems to have thousands of backlinks yet the message is to slowly build quality recip links :(

How do you do it in such a short space of time, considering that FFA's and all the other supposed short cuts are a no, no?

I don't get this alexa ranking...

i have only 1100 visitors per day and 11000 pages view per day (in a good day) and my alexa rank is 44,693.

i see webmasters here post that they have two times more traffic then me and they alexa rank is less the 100,000.

can anyone explaine this?

Morrison,
Alexa is a fairly blunt instrument, as this thread proves. It does not measure real visitors, only ones that have installed the tool bar.

Alot of Koreans use it, so you find alot of Korean sites at the top of their lists.

No stats on visitors etc.... Why is that Alexa # so high?
