Best Yahoo Groups Clone Script

Do you know any? I really need one!

Greetings,

Iīve crawled the web after a simple mailing list program, that allows all members to send emails to the entire list/group, like Yahoo Groups or Topica, but I canīt find a good one.
Iīve searched all scripts directories...
If anyone knows something like this, even if not for free (but it must be cheap, this is for a non profit use), please sticky me!
It would be great if such a script had a protection so that only registered members could send mails to the list, to avoid spammers.

I participate in several yahoo groups and others as well.
one of the free web based places is via smartgroups.com where you set your own parameters for membership.
For example, on the group where I participate, any HTML emails posted to the group are converted to plain text.

Other lists I frequent are based off of a listserv program, but I think the costs associated with the software may be unattractive to your NFP. The parent company though is lsoft (add a .com to company name and you'll reach their site)

Well, I need something under $40, because itīs only to help some friends, that donīt like Yahoo Groups because of the publicity, and because filling all those forms isnīt for everyone, especially for those less internet savvy...

Well, it seems noone knows such a script. Is it really so difficult to create one? I think there would be a lot of buyers for that (there are a lot of groups out there), and it doesnīt seem a difficult script to build, but Iīm not a coder...
