Hi,

My web host is getting out of the biz and I need a new one. I'd like one who is reliable, 24/7 coverage, reasonably priced, etc.

Thanks!

amythepoet,
You've been here long enough to know that that has got to be one of the most common questions asked around here. :)

And of course, everybody's favorite: Who is the best web hosting company out there?

In December I made this post [webmasterworld.com], all about classic posts. Not sure if I included "What's the best web host?" in there, but it definitely belongs in the top fifteen.

I think a better question to ask is: How can I tell that a web host is reliable? or something along those lines.

One method I use is to check out my favorite sites and see who they are using. Some sites list their host provider. Another way is to pick up a free computer magazine, or buy a PCWorld magazine and check in the back to see who is advertising.

The question of "What's the best web host?" is kind of a "Gimme-gimme" post; not a question about something, but rather a question asking for something.

You can also go to Google and do a search like this:
