Naming Conventions or Clever Programming?

Whats in a name.....

Hi as a newbie I stumble across a number of sites that have the file name similar to the one below:

article/0,,90000-1078340,00.html

i,e, comma's separators etc.

I suspect this is something to do with a software package as it normally appears on site with a huge number of pages. So is it software package or is it a clever naming convention that determines where it is in the site.

I think it's vignette that's doing that.

It's the naming scheme that a particular content management system uses. Every cms uses a slightly different method to catalogue the pages it creates.
