Tantek Celik, of CSS hack fame, has a magnificent set of tools called "favelets" that are wonderfully convenient. They are javascript links you put in _your_ favorites bar (not on a page), and by clicking the favorites link you can (1) toggle CSS on and off for the page you're viewing; (2) validate the HTML; (3) validate the CSS; do a number of other things. (Not all of them seem to work for me and they may depend in part on javascript support.)

W3C recommends them as validation tools. You can find the collection at:

I think the CSS toggle is worth the price of admission. (A figure of speech; everything is free.) It will be very handy in designing accessible pages.

Glad to be of help, this was a good topic to post rjohara. For people who really know what they are doing, you can also make your most commonly used bookmarklets/favlets into IE context menu extensions (the menu you get when you right click on a page). Takes some registry tweaking unless someone knows of utility to do this hassle-free

I'm not that brave with my registry. Especially since I can't afford to hire someone to fix my screw-ups! But thanks for the suggestions and the nifty favelets.

I might try to create one or two of those on my own, but I'd never even have thought of it if I hadn't seen if here first!

Thanks again to both of you!
