Hello, my company wants me to hook up a utility on our website where a user can ask live questions to someone in our office sitting on a computer.

Not looking for a general chatroom, more of a 1 on 1 messaging thing.

I am sure there is alot of software like that out there.

Any suggestions?

There is a lot of this kind of software, try doing a search for Live Support, there is one support ticket system which i run in to a lot, can't remember the name though.

I highly recommend Xigla Absolute Live Support for this. www.xigla.com

I've been using it for 8 months without 1 problem, my customers love it, and it works great.

The only catch is that it runs on IIS ASP only. There is no UNIX version, nor do they indend to make one.

It also has user tracking and pro-active chatting, so you can see where your users are at any moment.

I am checking it out now...

Our host is an asp system, so for me that is a plus. :)

There is also an applet called "Groopz", it's designed for live assitance between the office and site visitors. I won't give a review on it because I haven't used it except from the visitor side.

Sticky mail me if you need info on it.

If that was an illegal post, I understand removing it.
