Bi-lingual site: .html and .htm in different languages?

Is this better than index_2nd_lang.htm(l) or not?

Hi All!
I've been working upon a new site. A certain % of pages have to be in another language too (English :) , the site itself is in Russian).
The most simple way to do this is index_en.html, topic1_en.html, etc., I suppose. But I want to ask here: what if I'd use e.g. .html for Rus and .htm for Engl pages? Would this solution be better or not for SEO? (2 diff. domains solution isn't possible :( )
Thanx.

hi moby_dim_ru ;),

i would suggest not to put the _en or _ru in the filename. what about putting them on the end like info.html.en or info.html.ru? this way it's even compatible with apache auto-language select and it's on the end of the filename, so the 'real' filename is not disturbed by it.

Thanks a lot, Hakre!
The very first moment I thought you've been simply joking about a silly question (haven't read any Apache docs up to that moment :( ), but now found [httpd.apache.org...] , [apacheweek.com...] , etc. Cool. The next question is : Hon. Google behavior in this case? Thanx once more ;) .
