The latest version of the Real player (RealOne Player Plus) can be downloaded on a 14-day trial only by giving your credit card details. If you do not cancel (by ringing seemingly), your card is charged £9.99 per month after the trial period. They are offering content from MTV, BBC and CNN and a couple of other small bits and bobs.

What strikes me is the fact that you have to give your CC details on download and if you don't ring, you get charged. This I don't like at all - especially from a company like Real - surely just ending the trial like most software downloads do would be a more reputable way to go? That and the monthly charge seems very high to me....

There is a free version available that will give you access to MTV,BBC,CNN etc.

There are a few channels not available, but it does what I want it to ;)

Excellant for listening to the Radio, and I watch the BBC news at 1.00 live on weekdays.
